Why did they close it to the public?

This is the only site to have even mentioned it being close. I recently tried to go up and the main way was blocked off, so started to do research to see why as I have read that multiple people have visited it in the past but like stated previously no one even mentions it being closed of let alone why, so if you could reach out to me if you know why that would be great!
