Looking for a smaller, fun-first mountain that’s easy to reach, great for progression, and packed with unique outdoor facilities? Woodward Park City is your move.
It’s a year-round action-sports campus where you can ski or ride lift-served terrain outside, then move to a world-class indoor facility. The Center provides foam pits, trampolines, a parkour zone (a dedicated area for practicing the parkour discipline of moving fluidly over obstacles), a spring floor, a pump track, and more.
Families, first-time skiers, and park-curious riders love the approachable layout and value. Action-sports enthusiasts come for the coaching, seasonal programs, and the chance to level up fast, whether in winter or summer.
Woodward isn’t trying to be the biggest of Utah’s ski resorts. It’s designed for flow and progression in a fully integrated campus. And it was planned for year-round use.
Official stats list 60+ skiable acres, 11 runs, 4 lifts (including the Hot Laps chair), 349' vertical, and about 150" average snowfall.
That may sound compact compared with mega-mountains, but the campus packs acres of action sports: rail and jump lines outside, the Start Park for beginners, and that famous Indoor Action Sports Hub to keep the stoke high even when the weather turns.

Set just across from Jeremy Ranch in Summit County, right off I-80, Woodward Park City sits between Salt Lake City and Park City – only about 25–30 minutes from SLC International on clear roads. That proximity means you can combine several options.
Woodward Park City has free parking areas. While the 300-stall lot is large, it can fill up on busy winter weekends and holidays. Arriving early is recommended.
Ski or tube a few hours, hit dinner on Historic Main Street, or pair a day here with laps at nearby Deer Valley Resort or Park City Mountain. It’s the quintessential “drive-up-the-hill-and-ski the same hour” spot in the mountains of Utah.

Hot Laps & the Frontside - The detachable Hot Laps Lift is the heartbeat for lift-accessed snowboarding and skiing. You’ll find groomed lanes for carving, boxes/rails for working on balance and style, and jump lines scaled by skill levels so you can safely step up. In summer, Hot Laps also carries bikes for lift-service mountain bike trails.
Start Park - Absolute beginners and first-time skiers should begin here. The learning area uses gentle pitch, surface lifts, and terrain-based features that make sliding intuitive - less time wrestling with the basics, more time smiling.
Night sessions - Woodward Park City runs longer operating hours than many small hills, with evening laps most days in season. It’s perfect for after-work turns or a few park laps before dinner. Check the current winter season schedule before you go.
Bring the whole crew. Snow tubing is a signature here. You’ll rocket down seven lanes, each up to 1,200 feet long - the longest lanes in Utah. A conveyor whisks you back up.
Sessions are two hours and sell out on weekends and holidays, so lock in tickets online. It’s an easy win for mixed groups and non-skiers.

For outside laps, lift tickets are budget-friendly (often as low as $45 online) and include access to Hot Laps, Start Park, and the Gateway zones.
If you plan to bounce between skiing, tubing, and the Indoor Hub, look at the All-Access options or the Mountain Park Season Pass for unlimited access during the winter season.
Families who live nearby often choose month-to-month season passes or winter camps & seasonal programs for kids.
Woodward Mountain Park prides itself on its coaching DNA, which shows up everywhere. Outside, you’ll find private and group lessons for skiing and snowboarding.
Inside, session coaches roam the foam pits, trampolines, spring floor, and pump track to give tips on body position and safe progression. It’s a fantastic ecosystem for a new rider learning to link turns or an experienced park skier dialing spins into an airbag before taking them to the snow.

When the weather goes sideways … or you want a dedicated skill session … head into the Indoor Action Sports Hub. Your ticket/session grants access to trampoline zones, foam pits, airbags, parkour features, spring floors, a mini-ramp, an indoor concrete skatepark, and more.
The onsite café makes it easy to refuel while keeping an eye on the action. This is where Woodward Park City separates itself from traditional ski areas. It offers year-round progression under one roof.
On-site, the Hub café keeps things casual. It offers coffee, snacks, and kid-friendly fare between sessions.
For a broader scene, you’re minutes from Park City’s restaurants (from family pizza to chef-driven tasting rooms). Lodging choices range from brand hotels near Kimball Junction to slopeside luxury in Park City proper.
Many visitors pair a Woodward day with nights closer to Historic Main Street or an extended stay near Deer Valley Resort. There’s no large on-hill hotel at Woodward. That’s another reason it’s affordable.
Warm-weather fun is very real here. The “Mountain Park – Summer” setup includes lift-serviced mountain bike trails (Hot Laps). The Start Park serves new riders, airbags, and outdoor skate parks/outdoor facilities.
Add in scenic hikes from Park City’s trail network, a big menu of local rides for mountain bikers, and you’ve got a perfectly rounded action vacation.

The site was once Gorgoza Park, home to beloved tubing lanes. In 2019, Woodward rebuilt and expanded the campus, debuting for the 2019–20 winter season.
Improvements included the Hot Laps lift, enlarged tubing (now the state’s longest), and the new indoor Hub - the result: a modern, four-season playground that mixes classic Park City convenience with cutting-edge training tools.
Trip ideas: Make Woodward your warm-up day before a bigger mountain. Mix tubing with afternoon park laps, or stack a week that also hits Park City Mountain and Deer Valley Resort. With Park City’s transit and dining, planning is simple.
Woodward Park City is a different kind of mountain experience. It’s small on acreage but huge on outdoor facilities and coaching.
Where else can you snag morning laps, launch into foam pits after lunch, and cap the day with snow tubing on the longest lanes in Utah - all 30 minutes from Salt Lake City?
For travelers who want an energetic, family-friendly base with real progression tools and Park City’s dining nearby, Woodward Park City is an easy yes for your next winter getaway.
